Middle Housing Land Division at 5275 NE Mason St
Lot Division for 9-unit Cottage Cluster
Portland Permitting & Development opened public input for for a proposal to divide the lot at 5275 NE Mason St. The property owner plans to build a 9-unit cottage cluster and proposes a middle housing land division to split the existing lot into 9 smaller lots. Splitting the lots allows future cottage residents to own their home and the lot the home sits on, providing the same home ownership structure as a standard single family home.
The current land use decision only concerns the proposal to divide the lots. The city is not deciding whether to permit construction of the cottage cluster.
