Tree Planting Events at Morning Star Church
Depave, Friends of Trees, and Morning Star Church are hosting a tree planing event at Morning Star’s Nature Space (4927 NE 55th Ave) on MLK Jr Day. Depave and Morning Star have collaborated to remove unused pavement from the church grounds to make room for play space for children in daycare and newly planted trees.
The Morning Star Church community will provide food for the Monday, Jan 20 event. Tree planting runs from 10 am to 1 pm, weather permitting.
Depave is planning two more tree plantings on Saturday, Feb 8 and Saturday, Feb 22 for anyone who can’t join on MLK Jr Day. Please sign up on the Depave website.
