Some good news! As of 2:09 am, July 1, 2024, local polluter Owens-Brockway is using filters for the first time in the plants history, filtering out toxins from it’s stack emissions. This should cut down on the SO2 stench (burning matches), as well as ambient lead, arsenic, and other dangerous byproducts. https://www.oregon.gov/deq/Programs/Pages/owensbrockway.aspx
CAAT made the right decision not to go for a Good Neighbor Agreement with the Company but rather DEQ mandate, given last weeks SCOTUS disastrous reversal of the Chevron vs. NRDC ‘settled’ ruling!
