Please join the Cully Association of Neighbors on Tuesday, May 21 from 6:30-8:30 pm for the May 2024 Transportation and Land Use committee meeting. For this hybrid meeting, join on Zoom or in person at Grace Presbyterian Church. For in person, enter from the parking lot on the east side of the building.

Paulina Salgado from Tri-Met will present updates on proposed changes for the 72 bus line. Paulina joined us last May to announce the project. This month she’ll take questions and comments on the potential route change and a potential bus line terminus and transfer point in Cully. Tri-Met proposes to convert the current 72 service on 82nd Ave to a frequent express line and split the east-west service that runs through Cully to a separate bus line.

Mimi Phillips from Portland Bureau of Transportation will updates us on two transportation projects starting construction in summer of 2024.

The Killingsworth Street Repaving and Safety Improvements project will repave NE Killingsworth Street between 53rd Avenue & Cully Boulevard. The project will reconfigure the lanes to move bike lanes to the outside of the street, with car parking between the car travel lanes and bike lanes.

The Mason/Skidmore Neighborhood Greenway Project will add speed bumps, signage, pavement markings, and other improvements to NE Skidmore Street from NE 37th Avenue to NE 47th Avenue and NE Mason Street from NE 47th Avenue to NE 77th Avenue.
